Ida G. Gutierrez, PT, MPT
Ida is a native of Laredo, a Nixon High School graduate, and earned her Physical Therapy degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Inspired by her aunt with Cerebral Palsy, she has a passion for helping others achieve improved physical abilities. With experience across multiple settings, including hospital care, sports injuries, and pediatrics, Ida has a deep connection to the Laredo community. In her free time, she enjoys coaching her children’s sports teams, teaching karate, and staying active through aerobic kickboxing and recreational walking.
Marci Diaz, PT
Marci is a graduate of Florida International University and has been practicing physical therapy for over 30 years. Inspired by a movie and real-life experiences, she found her passion for helping others through physical therapy. Marci has extensive experience in pediatrics, prosthetics, and orthopedics and led a Neonatal Intensive Care PT team. Since 1997, she has also taught at Laredo College’s Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Marci believes in balancing work with family, faith, and taking time to connect with coworkers to maintain well-being
Mauricio, PT, DPT
Mauricio specializes in outpatient orthopedics with experience in home health, skilled nursing, and cancer/lymphedema management. Passionate about manual therapy, blood flow restriction training, and dry needling, he is certified in Personalized Blood Flow Restriction (ORS) and Dry Needling (AAMT). Mauricio’s interest in physical therapy stems from his own sports injuries in high school, where rehabilitation played a key role in his recovery. His personal experience inspired him to pursue a career focused on helping others. He continues to advance his skills through ongoing education and certifications.
Karina, PT, DPT
Karina is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a dedicated member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Inspired by her own experiences recovering from multiple ACL reconstructions, she is passionate about helping patients regain strength and mobility. Specializing in orthopedics and sports therapy, she takes an empathetic approach to each patient, tailoring treatments to their specific needs. Outside work, she enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her dogs, and building Legos.
